Fellowship Adult Bible Study Class

This Bible study class for adults meets Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. where there are lively discussions concerning the Old and New Testament and how the Bible relates to our lives today.  Anyone interested in an in-depth study of the Bible will find the Fellowship class an answer to their needs.

This classroom uses "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum.  It uses weekly resources utilizing a variety of experiences  to help children engage the Bible and nurture their growing faith.

Opportunities for Children in the Worship Service

The church school encourages children to participate in worship service.Weekly a child performs as Acolyte to light the church candles before the service and put them out at the end of the service.Each Sunday morning the pastor provides an uplifting "Time for Children: reflecting the worship's gospel reading.The Children's Choir sings every third Sunday.On important church holidays, the children perform musical skits.

Occasionally children help as greeters and ushers.

Workshop on the Old Testament
Begins April 11, 2007

As Professor Levine observes, "The Old Testament is endlessly fascinating, because it offers everything to explore: myth, saga, and history; tragedy, comedy and farce; economics and politics; literature and poetry of surpassing beauty; court intrigue and prophetic morality; heavenly miracles and sometimes heavenly silence; questions of theodicy; answers that satisfy and answers that may not; destruction and rebuilding; despair and hope."

Come study the Old Testament with Professor Amy-Jill Levine Wednesday evenings starting April 11, and continuing through June 27.  We will meet a 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall for dinner together and then watch a video presented by Professor Levine followed by a time for questions and discussion.
